YCCAC is looking for interested persons to volunteer their time and vehicle to drive York County residents to medical and other necessary appointments. If you are dependable, have a reliable vehicle and a desire to serve others, this could be the opportunity for you!
Volunteers operate their own vehicles and are reimbursed for all mileage and tolls. Volunteers donate their time, vehicle and driving skills. YCCAC provides training and support.
Before driving for YCCAC, all Volunteer Drivers will have their records screened by the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Maine State Police.
Requirements:
21+ years of age
Valid Maine driver’s license
Good driving record
Proof of vehicle registration and insurance
In-depth background checks as required by contract

Our Volunteer Driver Program provides transportation to York County residents who have no other means of transportation. Services include contracted transportation for children and families receiving case management from DHHS or Child Development Services, Cancer Care, rides for Veterans and other private contracts, as well as limited medical, non-emergency transportation for individuals who cannot be served on public transportation routes.
