York County CA$H is a partnership of non-profit organizations, businesses and partners working together to help empower individuals and families to achieve long-term financial stability. Since 2003, we have offered free tax preparation to qualified filers during tax season and educated hard-working families and individuals about programs in the community that can increase their income, reduce debt, and build savings. CA$H is a year-round resource, providing outreach and education about ways you can make the most of your money.
Household Budgeting and Financial Resources We can help to review your current situation and identify areas for savings or other programs and services you may qualify for.
Matched Savings Accounts
Do you have a savings goal in mind? If you are looking to make a home or vehicle purchase or repair, or build a savings account for an emergency expense, you may qualify for a Family Development Account (FDA) to help reach your goal faster. With FDAs, qualified households could receive $4 matched for every $1 saved.
Free Tax Preparation
YCCAC partners with the IRS to offer free tax preparation services through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. IRS-Certified volunteers help prepare and file basic Federal and State tax returns as well as help to determine eligibility for special tax credits, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Credit for the Elderly or Disabled.
