Sanford, ME – The Atlantic Federal Credit Union Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) to support financial education and empower York County residents.
Through Economic Opportunity programs, York County Community Action Corporation offers free tax preparation and coaching, helping families achieve stability and a brighter future. Community outreach connects residents to benefits and resources, while integrated services like Head Start, WIC, health care, weatherization, and transportation create a holistic support network. By combining financial empowerment with essential programs, YCCAC helps individuals and families achieve long-term security and a better quality of life.
YCCAC CEO, Carter Friend, commented, “Economic mobility isn’t just a goal, it’s a lifeline. With this support, we can break down barriers and open doors for so many in our community, ensuring everyone has the chance to build a brighter future.”
