United Way Day of Caring volunteers help build a stronger York County

On Wednesday, June 5th, YCCAC hosted Sanford Alternative High School students for the York County United Way Annual Day of Caring. The volunteers tended the gardens at YCCAC’s Spruce Street office complex, and worked on an inventory project for the Children’s Services program.

YCCAC staff at Spruce Street and Nasson Health Care staff took time to clean spaces in their work areas. The Nasson team picked up litter around their parking area and walkways, helping to maintain the health center as an attractive and inviting place for all.

The United Way Day of Caring, a tradition going back 24 years, has brought thousands of volunteers to work in their communities for a fun day of service.

A community event meant to strengthen—and brighten—the community. YCCAC is grateful to United Way for hosting this important event!
