Thriving in Place (TiP) offers workshops, social events and volunteer services that empower older and chronically disabled people to remain in their homes and stay engaged in their communities.
Thriving in Place accomplishes this by connecting people to local services and organizations that provide help with the details of life that can be so overwhelming to older and disabled people.
Thriving in Place serves the towns of Acton, Alfred, North Berwick, Lebanon, Springvale, Shapleigh, Waterboro, and the City of Sanford.
If you or someone you know is an older or chronically disabled person in need of basic home repair or chore services, please let us know. Out volunteer network can help.
Some help-at-home tasks might include raking, painting, grab-bar installation, changing light bulbs, air conditioner removal/installation, snow shoveling, rook raking, and more. Just ask—we can most likely help.
There are volunteer opportunities for people who would like to work with Thriving in Place. Our volunteers are vital in providing the needed services to older and/or chronically disabled York County residents.
