York County Community Action Corporation was incorporated in 1965 in response to the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Since then, York County communities have counted on YCCAC to provide opportunity and hope to people from all circumstances, particularly in times of transition or adversity.
Over time, we have added to our services to meet the changing demands in our communities, but our approach remains the same: We are driven by the belief that when our communities are strong, all of its members have opportunities to thrive— and, in turn, that when an individual achieves personal success and independence, our communities grow healthier, stronger, and more vibrant.

NASSON HEALTH CARE YCCAC is one of only a few organizations in the country that is both a community action agency and a federally-qualified community health center, Nasson Health Care. This allows us to integrate all of our services across departments to help people lead healthy, secure, and independent lives.
The mission of York County Community Action Corporation is to alleviate the effects of poverty, attack its underlying causes, and to promote the dignity and self-sufficiency of the people of York County, Maine.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGAM When needed, our Community Outreach Program provides a dedicated staff member to work one-on-one with an individual or family to access resources and coordinate efforts to ensure the best possible outcome.
