York County Community Action Corporation is pleased to announce that Tom Reinauer has accepted the position of Director of Transportation for the nonprofit organization. Tom has more than three decades’ experience in Public Transportation, most recently working as Director of Public Outreach and Planning for the Maine Department of Transportation. Prior to that, Tom served 27 year as Director of Transportation for the Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission.
Tom has been involved in the planning, development and launch of several YCCAC Transportation program services, including the WAVE and Shoreline Explorer. He has a background in route and service planning, and will bring a wealth of talent and experience to our organization.
“We’re delighted to have Tom join our leadership team and oversee our Transportation programs,” said YCCAC Executive Director Barbara Crider. “Tom has the knowledge and the experience to help guide Transportation Services during this challenging time of COVID-19 and its variants. We couldn’t have hoped for a better candidate for the job, and we’re excited to begin working with him.”
York County Community Action’s Transportation Services includes Sanford Transit, Shoreline Explorer, WAVE Transit, the Local Rides Program, Connecting to Cancer Care Program, KITT—Kennebunk In Town Transportation, Southern Maine Connector, and the Volunteer Driver program and Veterans Transportation program.
