York County Community Action’s Energy Services program will accept HEAP applications (Home Energy Assistance Program) until 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, July 15, 2020, for the current fuel assistance season.
HEAP applications can be taken over the phone by calling (207) 459-2950.
The HEAP eligibility guidelines were modified this year to allow more York County households access to energy assistance. These guidelines have been extended to July 15. York County residents who are no longer working due to COVID-19, or who have had their work hours cut, may now be eligible for HEAP.
The 2020/21 HEAP season will begin August 24, 2020. Watch for announcement in mid-August of the HEAP application process and income eligibility guidelines.
