Angela Kelewae, Nutrition Counselor with our WIC Program, is the receiver of the Above & Beyond Award for Q4 of 2025! 🎉👏

We are proud to recognize Angela for her outstanding dedication and commitment to YCCAC’s mission.

In a typical week, Angela serves one day at the front desk, three days as a Nutrition Counselor, and one day in her role as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. She also supports our monthly late clinics, helping ensure families have access to evening appointments.

Despite such diverse responsibilities, Angela’s compassionate and thorough approach never wavers. She takes the time to answer families’ questions, carefully documents her work, and ensures concerns are addressed — always reaching out to colleagues or connecting families with additional resources when needed. From supporting parents in the early days of breastfeeding to assisting with pumps and supplies throughout their journey, Angela consistently goes above and beyond!
