Make a Difference This Tax Season!

The CA$H (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) program at York County Community Action is recruiting volunteers for the upcoming tax season—and your help can make a real difference.

By joining YCCAC’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) team, you’ll help local families file their taxes accurately and keep more of their hard-earned refunds. No prior tax experience needed! We provide free training and ongoing support so you feel confident and prepared from day one.

What is VITA?

VITA is a community-powered program offering free tax preparation for qualifying households. Trained volunteers provide safe, accurate filing so families can claim the credits and refunds they’ve earned—without the stress, confusion, or high fees of paid tax services.

Your Impact as a Volunteer

For individuals and families living on low or fixed incomes, paid tax preparation can take a big bite out of a refund. As a volunteer tax preparer, you provide trusted, no-cost support that reduces stress, prevents costly errors, and strengthens household finances. It’s neighbors helping neighbors—right when it matters most.
