York County Community Action Corporation’s Transportation program announced today that, beginning Monday, June 27, its Orange Line bus service, which operates between Sanford and Wells, will increase services to run on an hourly schedule for most of the day, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Weekend services will run every two hours.

The Orange Line route will also be extended to Wells Beach for the summer.  The route currently ends at Wells Plaza at Hannaford.

In addition to these changes, the schedule has been updated to provide more consistent times for each of the Orange Line bus stops, which will be easier for riders to follow.

“Although we know that not having the trolleys running this summer was not welcome news, we continue to add and improve service where and when we can to provide more options for residents and visitors”, according to Tom Reinauer, Director of Transportation at YCCAC.
