The COVID-19 pandemic has been disruptive to us all. But it has been devastating to the most vulnerable York County households. Many are still waiting for their stimulus checks, are struggling to make ends meet, and have no money for basic necessities. They need help, and they need it now.
A single mother of two has called us for help with groceries, diapers and wipes. Another York County resident can’t make rent this month and is at risk of eviction. Still another family has asked for help with a high electric bill. All three are among the newly unemployed due to the coronavirus.
