Leeward Landing Donates $15,000 to YCCAC Heating Assistance, Hope Fund

The Leeward Landing Charitable Foundation, which operates thrift stores in Maine and Massachusetts, presented YCCAC with a $15,000 check on Monday, December 9, to support the agency’s Emergency Fuel/Hope Fund.

Leeward has been a generous agency donor for several years, regularly supporting the Department of Economic Opportunity, as well as sponsoring YCCAC’s annual Ceilidh & Silent Auction fundraiser.

Donated goods from community residents and businesses are processed and sold through the Leeward Landing thrift stores. Throughout the year, the organization donates proceeds from its store operations to local food pantries and home heating assistance programs. In addition to YCCAC, recipients of Leeward Landing grants include Fuel and More (Kittery), FoodPrints Food Pantry (Kittery), North Berwick Food Pantry (North Berwick), Saco Food Pantry (Saco), Sanford Food Pantry (Sanford), Stone Soup Food Pantry (Biddeford), Table of Plenty Food Kitchen (Berwick), York Community Service Association Food Pantry (York).

YCCAC is grateful for the financial support provided by Leeward Landing, funding which will have tremendous impact on families in York County.
