The Federal Register will publish today (May 7) regulations governing the additional 30,000 H2B work visas. These visas may be used only for returning foreign workers who were employed in the United States during any of the following years: 2016, 2017 and 2018.

It is imperative that businesses apply immediately for the visas, as it appears there will be only one week to do so. Employers this year will not need to re-advertise to show that local workers are not available to fill these jobs.
