Getting Around

Contracted / Special Transportation

Our transportation program has approximately 30 Volunteer Drivers who transport York County residents whose transportation needs cannot be met by our Agency vehicles due to location (where you live or where you need to go) or timing (when you need to travel). Our dedicated Volunteer Drivers can provide transportation for the following:

  • Non- Emergency medical appointments;
  • Services for children and families with a DHHS Child Protective Services and/or Foster Care Case Worker;
  • Services for children with special needs with a Child Development Services Case Manager
  • Other York County residents with medical needs that cannot be served on YCCAC's Public Transportation Routes, including transport for Cancer Care

Can I get a Volunteer Driver Trip?  The answer is Yes if you:

  • Have a Case Manager at the Department of Health and Human Services, Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services and/or Substitute Care, and have been referred to YCCAC by your caseworker.
  • Have trips you need for cancer care treatment and your transportation needs cannot be met on YCCAC's Agency vehicles.
  • Have a child who is case managed by York County Child Development Services (CDS) needing transportation to a developmental therapy program.
