The Energy Services program administers LIHEAP (the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) for Maine State Housing. The federal Department of Health and Human Services oversees LIHEAP.
LIHEAP provides money to eligible homeowners and renters to help cover direct or indirect energy expenses. In most cases, the funds are distributed directly to the fuel and utility vendors.
Homeowners, renters and renters whose utilities are included in their rent are eligible for assistance with direct and indirect energy costs through LIHEAP.
To schedule you LIHEAP appointment, please call (207) 324-5762, and Select Option 1, or (800) 965-5762, Option 1.
If applicable, please print and fill out the forms below before scheduling your LIHEAP appointment.
