4th Annual YCCAC Ceilidh & Silent Auction Brings Celtic Customs to York County
November 5, 2018
YCCAC’s 4th Annual Ceilidh and Silent Auction was a success by any measure—the turnout, the food, music, the silent auction, and more!
Junior Stevens and Friends delivered on their promise to provide the most beautiful authentic Irish Dance Music; the Seacoast Set Dancers, led by Sue Dunlavey, thrilled everyone with their lively Set, Step and Ceili dancing; and the silent auction, which took place in a side room and was arranged for easy access, kept the bidding going right up to the final seconds.
And the dancers—all those who took to the floor to learn a new dance step, meet a stranger (who became a friend), and twirl a partner (or get twirled by one): they too made the event such and enjoyable and memorable experience.
Our new venue, Spring Hill in South Berwick, was the perfect setting for this community event. Approximately 150 people attended, including donors, volunteers, Board members, friends of the organization and, last but absolutely not least, YCCAC staff.
We are grateful to our generous sponsors for their support of the event and our organization – the Leeward Landing Thrift Store, Kennebunk Savings, York County Federal Credit Union, Bibber Family Monuments, Jeffery A. Simpson Inc., Normand Electric, Norway Savings Bank, Perfectly Clean LLC, Saco & Biddeford Savings, Saco Valley Credit Union, Southern Maine Refrigeration, Town & Country Federal Credit Union, and the Wolves Social Club.
