Mental Health
York County Community Health Care provides behavioral health services for York County individuals and families who are homeless and for those who reside in public housing. We serve persons of all ages—children, teens, adults, and elders. Our primary goals are the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in order to alleviate the distress it causes and the improvement or maintenance of the individual's capacity to function in society and in the community. A secondary goal is the provision of indirect services in the form of advocacy, case management, referral and prevention.
We accept MaineCare, Medicare, Medicaid and private health plans. We also offer a generous sliding-fee schedule for persons without insurance based on the household income and family size.
