$5,000 Community Matters More check presented to YCCAC

The Bangor Savings Bank’s annual Community Matters More contest votes are in, and YCCAC was among the top recipients in York County. Sharing the honor this year with Center for Wildlife, Cape Neddick, YCCAC received the highest number of votes of all listed and write-in nonprofits in southern Maine.

The top vote-getters in each Maine County receive a $5,000 grant, while listed nonprofits, and the second-place write in nonprofits, pick up $1,000 each.

The York County nonprofits receiving $1,000 grants were Art Hope (Ogunquit), York County Service Association (York). The write-in winner, also receiving $1,000, was the Hollis Center Public Library (Hollis).

On hand to receive the check, which was presented on April 26,was (L-R) Volunteer Coordinator and Development Manager, Ericka Sanborn; Executive Director, Barbara Crider; and Board of Directors President, Claudette Dupee. Ms. Blondin (right) nominated YCCAC for participation in the contest.
