“Ride the Bus on Us” starts Oct. 1st at Goodall Memorial Library in Sanford

The Louis B. Goodall Memorial Library is excited to announce a new project they’ve initiated with the collaboration of York County Community Action Corporation.  The new program, “Ride the Bus on Us”, allows people who use the Library to earn coupons for free bus rides on the Sanford Transit.  Thanks to YCCAC, the Library has recently become a stop on the Sanford Transit route.

Adult Library users interested in participating in the new program will receive a punch card listing a variety of library-related goals.  The goals will include everyday library activities such as:  check out books, check out movies, use a computer, borrow a museum pass, research or read at the library, or attend a program.  When a “goal” is accomplished, the participant’s card gets punched.  Fill the card and receive 2 bus coupons good for 2 free rides!  Those of us involved in the project feel it will be a win-win for everyone… the Library, Sanford Transit, and especially the participants, as it reinforces the benefits of utilizing two of our great community resources.
